US National Park Access
For this analysis, I used an automated model to create Thiessen polygons for the National Parks of the contiguous United States. The data I was given was in a nonsensical coordinate system, so I began by identifying its correct coordinate system and then projecting it to a relevant coordinate system for this study area. I illustrated the inequitable access to national parks in the US with Theissen polygons by showing that some parks serve a much larger area than others, shown in the layout below. I also used zonal statistics to identify the proportion of the population that is served by each park, which is included as a table in the full pdf report.
