Custom Ski Map

My client for this project was looking for a map of the Winter Park Ski Resort to use as piece of wall art. Their stipulations included a muted 70's color scheme, a visually simple style, and a map that represented a local's understanding of the mountain. 

 

I was inspired by public transportation maps in my design since they communicate complex information with clean and orderly lines. My nod to public transit maps also invokes an understanding of place, and implies a familiarity with the mountain that is most meaningfully interpreted by a local of the area. The final product was printed on canvas.
