Getting to Know Community Forestry

Community forestry is an exciting alternative land management system to many existing forestry frameworks in the US, but information about community forestry is inaccessible and sparse. As my senior capstone project for the Western Washington University Honors College, I created this Story Map website as an educational resource that introduces community forestry concepts, histories, and case studies in an engaging, accessible, and practical format. The site utilizes interactive elements that enrich the content, as well as visual communication assets that I designed to create visual hierarchy of information, always keeping a broad audience in mind.
